This razor is NOT "by Feather"

Feather is a major razor and blade manufacturing company in Japan, and they did not make this razor.

Double edged razor

a little trouble getting the order placed (credit card glitch)but then it came right away and was exactly what i wanted.

You can get better quality razors from the $1.00 store.

My father has owned a double edge razor (TTO or Butterfly model) and he won't shave with anything else. I wanted to give a razor similar to the one my father has to a friend of mine. I found this one and I purchased it seeing it looked very similar to the one my father ownes plus it came with a travel case. It arrived promptly and in mint condition... just one thing, I was VERY VERY dissapointed with the product itself.

It comes in a travel case that states "Made in China" just like how it does on those cheap $1.00 toys. So that itself told me that the condition would not be all that great. The case is made of a hard cheap plastic that doesn't make it look attractive at all. Once you open it up inside you'll find a mirror (OK quality) The razor was packed inside with a small cleaning plastic brush that has the quality as a 25 cent vending machine toy. It also comes with (1) double edge blade.

The razor itself has a small handle, is made of a cheap lightweight medal and it seems to me as if it was sprayed with a 'medal-looking' coat. I'm sure this razor will have rust marks after a few shaves and the twist nob will be sqeeking in no time. It's VERY light, weight, similar to the weight of a pen, so it won't give the correct pressure when shaving.... which in the end the person that's shaveing will more than likely push too hard onto their skin and irritate it.

I asked my friend for feedback once he shaved with the razor, he stated that he was able to 'hear' each hair that was being shaved off and that he had to go back a few times to remove all of the hair. So it was not a smooth shave. Not good, and NOT the kind of quality of shave I was expecting!!

I'd say for the quality of this razor I would not spend more than $5.00. I choose this razor over the other ones listed because of the travel case that it came with, but now that I saw it in person I wish I would have purchased one of the other ones instead. I have stated I was sorry to my friend for giving him such a crappy razor and now I am going to purchase the other razor to replace it with the cheap one I gave him.

The only reason I give this product (1) star was because I was impressed with the merchant's delivery time and how it was packaged, but I was VERY dissapointed with the razor itself.
